Sustainable Coastlines Beach Clean-Up

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Join Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii on an adventure to a deserted beach rarely visited by anything other than endangered monk seals, turtles, and fish. Sadly though, Kahuku Beach is also one of the dirtiest beaches on the island where marine debris from thousands of miles away washes ashore after a strenuous journey through the North Pacific Garbage Patch (the Gyre). Join us as we show the Kahuku Coastline aloha by removing as much marine debris as we can. The majority of the debris collected will be recycled through our partnerships with Method, Bureo Skateboards, Parley for the Oceans, and Bionic Yarn. We will  also be collecting debris to create art during the Wanderlust Festival and at educational outreach events. Take a break, enjoy a beach rarely visited, and open your eyes to what a collective effort can have on the beautification of our coastlines.

Sustainable Coastlines will be running shuttles to the Beach on an ongoing basis, so don't stress about the timing. Feel free to arrive when it's convenient but know that we will make our final trip back to Turtle Bay at 12:55pm. We'll meet in the hotel lobby for shuttle pick-ups beginning at 10:30am.

This session does not count towards your daily class limit.
