Since ancient times these Hawaiian islands were graced with isolation. This isolation gave birth to the most unique species of plants and animals ever to be found on earth. Centuries ago my ancestors discovered these remote and bountiful islands. Our people lived in harmony with the land and observed its patterns and cycles. They shared their knowledge through mo'olelo (stories) and oli (chants) which connected the physical world with the spiritual realm. While walking along the coastline, participants will enjoy an educational adventure bursting with cultural, botanical, and historical information. Participants will enjoy an easy-going hike with an experienced Native Hawaiian Guide and Cultural Field Educator. This hike is eco-friendly and fun for all ages.
